JONATHAN LEE + YYOU “ONE DAY STAR”

They see me on the street wanna wish me well
Truthfully I know they wanna tell me something else
Someday I’m gonna be a star
One day I’mma be a someone

Someday I’m gonna be a star
Not gonna wonder where
Where you are (where you are)

Who you’re doin’
Who you’re screwin’
How you’re doin’
Who you’re doin’
Who you’re screwin’
How you’re doin’

We’re about to break up
Kinda like your face in the morning no make up
There’s no make up
And god damn why I let sh*t slide?
Hot damn how’d I trust your lies?
Girl I thought we’d ride
But we was riding on a flat
With no spare
And no air
And now you see me on my sh*t
It got your vision f*cked up like them crossed eyed kids

I thought that we would be together
But I’m gone now I’m leaving
We once moved each other
Now it’s feeling paraplegic
These rough ass waters got a n*gga feeling seasick

They see me on the street wanna wish me well
Truthfully I know they wanna tell me something else
Someday I’m gonna be a star
One day I’mma be a someone

Someday I’m gonna be a star
Not gonna wonder where
Where you are (where you are)

Who you’re doin’
Who you’re screwin’
How you’re doin’
Who you’re doin’
Who you’re screwin’
How you’re doin’

Ok success breeds envy
I got alotta enemies
Funny thing is
Most of them still my friends B
Be…
I’m just trying to be supreme
But it’s hard to be a king
When they try and take your dreams
Plotting of a scheme
Get it by any means
So I’m steady on the rise
Like the price of gasoline
Some cats I gotta duck ‘em
I don’t really trust ‘em
Do them like Tiger Woods did
F*ck ‘em
Yeah that’s right
I said it
F*ck ‘em

For those of you who know me, my computer desktop is usually a mess. I was going through random folders deleting files and found this picture. It’s a screen shot of the Nelly Furtado - Maneater (Victoria Home Court Advantage Remix) I did a few years back during the LJX years. Unfortunately due to the new YouTube copyright issues with WMG, it has been removed.
Over 7 million views, which makes it my most successful viral video to date. We’ll see how long it takes me to top this one :)

Anonymous asked: Where do you get your inspiration from, and how do you incorporate that into you fashion ? And if you had the chance to go to dinner with anyone alive right now, who would it be?

My approach to fashion is similar to my approach to music: I keep it simple, I make sure every element has a purpose, and most importantly, I always follow my instincts.

Dinner with anyone alive? You. Let’s go.

Common featuring Kuba Oms? The next Earl Lee Bird project? I’ve worked side by side with my good friend Kuba for the last year on the business side of the music business. We finally stepped into the creative collaborative realm.

In March, 2010 I played a show in Montreal with Grammy winning rapper COMMON. He and his crew are amazing people. We raised a bucket load of much needed cash for the the Israel Cancer Research Fund.
I was hanging out at the hotel bar with COMMON after the show and he mentioned that his new album was being produced by Kanye West and No I.D. and was coming out soon, after the theatrical release of his new film, Just Wright.
Me and my producer colleague, Earl Lee Bird, proceeded to produce a track for consideration for the forthcoming album. It’s called Summertime and well, it’s pretty hooky I must say. Hopefully it suits the overall vibe and makes it on the new record.
